Why sponsor a child?

Many children in Pasua, Moshi, start life with very little: single-parent homes, unemployed parents and extreme financial hardship. Your sponsorship provides education, daily meals, learning materials and the care a child needs to thrive and to move on into primary school.

The children awaiting sponsorship

About 20 five-year-old children currently await a sponsor through ZARA’s education programmes. Most come from single-parent households or families facing unemployment and extreme hardship. Each child has a profile that sponsors can read before choosing, or ZARA can help you choose.

What sponsorship covers

• School fees and boarding fees
• Uniform and learning materials
• Daily meals and everyday necessities

The cost is about $850 per child per year (less than $3 a day).

Who is eligible?

Children with one parent, orphans, and children facing significant hardship.
